Investigating - Domain joined Linux servers may lose access to AD after a Microsoft patch was applied to the domain controllers. RedHat has an article that describes the issue and resolution:
When: Sunday, September 14 from 10:00 - 11:00 p.m. PT
Message: On Sunday, September 14 from 10:00 - 11:00 p.m. PT, ITS will be moving wireless access points (listed below) to a new wireless controller. Wireless clients in the following buildings will notice a brief disconnect of 2-5 minutes as the wireless access points move to the new controller.

ITS has identified 40 wireless access points installed in Pepper Canyon Hall building that have reached their end-of-life cycle. ITS has scheduled the replacement of these devices for Monday, 9/15, starting at 8:30am.
Each wireless access point will go offline for approximately 15 minutes as it’s replaced with a newer model. There will be light drilling, so the noise and disruption will be minimal. Barring any access issues, we fully expect to complete this activity by the end of the business day.
Please note, this activity will not impact the wired network.

Scheduled - The Employee Activity Hub (EAH) reports using Hana Production will be undergoing maintenance and thus, unavailable today from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. PDT for scheduled enhancement migrations. This is a minor change with no outage to systems. The expected duration for completing the implementation plan is approximately 30 minutes. IMPACT: The majority of the devices in the datacenter: This maintenance is to upgrade the software on the Top Of Rack network devices throughout the datacenter. ALL 1G/10G connections will experience downtime at some point during the maintenance window.
These software upgrade/reboots apply critical updates and bug fixes to our network infrastructure. This allows us to utilize new features and maintain the integrity of the network.
