Migration of Cisco Identity Services Engine hosts from VMware to Hyper V

Scheduled for Mar 5, 2027, 00:00 PST  -  Jun 10, 2027, 01:00 PDT

Scheduled

From Friday, March 5 through Thursday, March 31, Cisco Identity Services Engine virtual hosts will be migrated from VMware to the Hyper V virtualization platform. The migration will be completed in phases by moving one ISE node at a time to maintain stability and service availability across the deployment. Each node will be temporarily removed from the F5 load balancing pool, migrated to Hyper V, validated for proper operation and database synchronization, and then returned to service before proceeding to the next node. The remaining ISE nodes and secondary datacenter will remain active during the process, allowing authentication services to continue operating while the migration is completed. The change aligns the environment with the current Hyper V infrastructure while maintaining operational continuity for the ISE platform.
